1.1 Subject Division

• The subject is divided into two components, for the ease of clarity we will call them Paper 1 and Paper 2.
• Each paper contains 5 questions.
• Only 1 section is common between the two subjects
• Rest complete syllabus is uncommon.
• Paper pattern is exactly the same
• Each paper has raw marks 50
  • Each mistake of 1 marks takes away 1 percent from the final grade.
• Need to score 45 plus marks in both papers

1.4 Paper Pattern

• Each paper is of 1.5 hours.
• Each paper has 5 questions
• In each paper, question 1 and 2 is compulsory
• In each paper, 2 more questions need to done out of three
  • Question 1 – 8 marks
    • Sub part 4 and 4 marks
      • First Subpart Paper 1
        • Need to explain the content of the Quranic Passage given
      • Second Subpart Paper 1
        • Need to connect the content to the life of Muslims
      • First Subpart Paper 2
        • Need to explain the content of the Hadith
      • Second Subpart Paper 2
        • Need to connect the significance to Muslim life today
    • Total 2 marks for each sub-part
    • Total 70-100 words for each subpart
    • Total 2.25 pages given
    • NO EXTRA SHEET
  • Question 2 – 14 Marks
    • Paper 1
      • Question 2 would be from either major themes of the Quran, or the Revelation, Compilation and Significance of the Quran
      • First Part 10 marks – explanations.
        • Requires KNOWLEDGE ONLY.
        • Does not require interpretation of any kind
      • Second Part 4 marks – requires to connect the content to Muslim lives today
        • Need to think smartly for this part
        • BOOKISH knowledge not needed
    • Paper 2
      • It would be either from Hadith Compilation and Significance, or major themes
      • Part 1
        • 10 Marks
        • Explanation – No Interpretation
        • Bookish knowledge
      • Part 2
        • 4 Marks
        • Interpretation – Smart link to modern life
        • BOOKISH KNOWLEDGE IS NOT NEEDED
    • You will have 3 sheets for complete 14 marks
      • 2 pages to 2.25 pages for 10 marks
      • 0.75 -1 page for 4 marks
      • NO EXTRA SHEET.
  • Question 3 -5
    • Same pattern 10 and 4 marks – 14 marks each question
    • Same method of solving
    • Have to do any 2 for each paper
    • Paper 1
      • 1 Question from Life of Prophet PBUH
      • 1 Question from First Islamic Community
      • 1 Question from anywhere.
    • Paper 2
      • 1 Question from Articles and Pillars
      • 1 Question from Rightly Guided Caliphs
      • 1 Question from anywhere
    • Same method of solving
    • NO EXTRA SHEET.
• Have to do 4 questions total including Question 1 and 2 in each paper.
