  • Basically, the simple idea here is
    • 1 km = 1000 m
    • So 1 km^2 = 1000*1000 m^2
    • Which means 1 km^2 = 1000000 m^2
  • The same goes for cubes as well
    • If 1 m = 100 cm
    • Then what is 1 m^3 in mm^3
    • Do such questions step wise
    • 1 m^3 = 100*100*100 cm^3
    • 1 m^3 = 1000000 cm^3
    • Now convert 1000000 cm^3 to mm^3
    • 1 cm^3 = 10*10*10 mm^3
    • So 1 cm^3 = 1000 mm^3
    • So 1000000 cm^3 in mm^3
    • It means 1000000*1000 = 1000000000 mm^3
