1) but / however → لیکن / مگر / تاہم

yet (contrast)	مگر	She is young, yet very wise.	وہ کم عمر ہے، مگر بہت سمجھدار ہے۔

2) whereas / while (contrast) → جبکہ / مگر

whereas	جبکہ	He likes tea, whereas I prefer coffee.	اسے چائے پسند ہے، جبکہ مجھے کافی پسند ہے۔

3) on the other hand → دوسری طرف / اس کے برعکس

4) instead / rather → اس کے بجائے / بلکہ

6) despite / in spite of → باوجود / کے باوجود

7) though / even so → اگرچہ / پھر بھی

8) otherwise (contrast with consequence) → ورنہ / بصورتِ دیگر

9) contrary to / unlike → کے برخلاف / کے برعکس

10) difference markers → فرق / مختلف / الٹا
